Privacy
The short version: we don't collect your data, because there's nowhere for it to go. Here's the long version.

In plain words
Biblelexical has no account, no server, no ads, and no analytics. Your notes, highlights, bookmarks, and reading history live only on your device. We never see them.
None. The app does not ask you to create an account or sign in, and it does not contain advertising or third-party analytics or tracking tools. Everything you create, sermons, notes, highlights, bookmarks, reading plans, streaks, and reading history, is stored in a private database on your own device. It is never transmitted to us or anyone else.
Biblelexical is designed to work fully offline. The only time it connects to the internet is when you choose to download an optional extra, an additional Bible translation or a commentary. Those files are hosted as public downloads on GitHub. When you download one, your device contacts GitHub directly, and, as with any web request, your IP address is visible to that service for the purpose of delivering the file. We do not operate a server of our own and receive no information about your downloads. See GitHub's privacy statement for how they handle requests.
If you turn on reading reminders, they are scheduled as local notifications on your device. There is no push server involved, and no information about your reminders leaves your phone.
You can export a backup of your data. The backup is a file that you control and store wherever you choose; it is never sent to us. On Android, system "auto-backup" is disabled for the app so your data is not copied to a cloud account without your knowledge; moving data between devices is done by your own export and import.
Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. Biblelexical is suitable for readers of all ages.
Your data is entirely in your hands. You can edit or delete any note, highlight, or bookmark in the app, and removing the app from your device removes its local data. You can export your data at any time to keep or move it yourself.
If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Because the app's design is privacy-first by nature, we don't expect material changes.
